| We have recently completed our first software program for the Interactive
Whiteboard. This package is based on the Numeracy Block approach to
maths teaching and focuses on providing a way of using the IAWB during the
Mental Routines. The software is accompanied by a Teachers Guide that details some 12
Mental Routines for discussion with students and makes suggestions for focusing on the key features of the
target strategies of the routine.
Suggestions as to how to make effective use of the features of the IWB
form a key part of the Guide.
