100 Square for the IWB

Our most popular software program for the Interactive Whiteboard, this package is based on the Numeracy Block approach to maths teaching and focuses on providing an effective and engaging way of using the IWB during the Mental Routines. • a teacher set up screen that allows teachers to customise which buttons to switch on to match the needs of the users and even to switch between a 1 – 100 board and a 0 – 99 board as required.

The software is accompanied by a Teacher's Guide that details 12 Mental Routines and lesson plans for discussion with students and makes suggestions for focusing on the key features of the target strategies of the routines. It also suggests 100 square games that can be used by the whole class or by groups.

Suggestions as to how to make effective use of the features of the IWB form a key part of the Guide and include strategies for pattern spotting, number recognition and number sense, addition, subtraction and multiplication strategies as well as place value concepts.
